General FAQs
HTTP 500 Error
Enable APP_DEBUG=true in the .env file and check storage/logs/laravel.log for detailed error messages. Common causes include incorrect database credentials, missing PHP extensions, or file permission issues.
Password / Login Issues
If users cannot receive password reset emails, ensure your mail settings are correctly configured. Check the Mail Settings page for SMTP configuration details.
Payment Gateway Errors
Common payment gateway issues include currency mismatches, missing API credentials, and incorrect sandbox/live mode settings. Verify your API keys and currency configuration.
File Upload Limits
To increase file upload limits, edit your php.ini file:
upload_max_filesize = 512M
post_max_size = 512M
max_execution_time = 300
Blank Page
A blank page typically indicates an error in the .env file (extra spaces or invalid values) or missing PHP extensions. Enable debug mode to diagnose the issue.
Google Maps Billing
Google Maps API requires an active billing account. Create a billing account in the Google Cloud Console and enable the Maps API for your project.
SSL / Mixed Content
If you see mixed content warnings after enabling SSL, ensure all URLs in your .env file and database use https:// instead of http://.
Creating phpinfo
To check your PHP configuration, create a phpinfo.php file in your public directory:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Security: Delete this file after use to prevent exposing server information.
Autoplay Audio
Modern browsers restrict autoplay for audio and video. Users may need to interact with the page first before media will autoplay.
TMDB Import Issues
Verify that your TMDB API key is valid, the PHP curl extension is enabled, and CORS is configured if importing from a different domain.
